LaCinda Lewis,  LaCinda's heart has been in Mozambique ever since her first trip in 2006.  She fell in love with an orphaned boy named Kelvin.  After five years and many trips back to Mozambique, the Lewis family was able to adopt Kelvin and bring him home to Gilbert, Arizona.  She is an amazing nurturer to her nine children, two foster children, and five grandchildren.

Cindy Packard,  Cindy is the founder of Care for Life, a non profit organization that has been working in Mozambique since 2000.  She has spent an extensive amount of time working in Mozambique with Care for Life, in addition to serving a four month humanitarian mission in 2005 and a three year mission in Mozambique and Angola for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with her husband from 2006-2009.  She is the mother of 7 children, her 7th which was also adopted from Mozambique in 2003.  She is also the proud grandmother to 26 grandchildren.

Annie Lewis, Annie has been driving with a license plate that states, "Rather be in Mozambique" for over 10 years now.  And it is the truth.  Annie has made the journey to Mozambique seven times to help teach health classes, work in orphanages, build houses, teach English, and hold lots of babies.  As the daughter of Cindy  and daughter in law of LaCinda, she knows Mozambique will be apart of her future for a long time.  She is the mother of two, almost three, boys and the wife of a medical student.

Ann Zuniga Ann's first trip to Mozambique was in 2002.  She went over with Care for Life to help as a Registered Nurse Midwife.    Between working clinic hours, she was able to spend lots of time falling in love with the orphans of Mozambique.  One in particular caught her eye, and through many miracles, Ann and her husband Jacob were able to bring a special little two year old orphaned boy whom they named Jaren home with them.  Ann and Jacob are the founders of a non profit organization called Circle of Support.

Myrna Anderson, Myrna joined the Acenda team in 2011.  She has taken on the big job of book keeping and banking.  We are so grateful for her service! Please email her at myrnalynn1954@gmail.com with any donation or banking questions.

Henriquetta Maluana, Henriquetta is visiting the United States for several years while her husband Armando is attending BYU Idaho.  They are surviving the cold, snowy winters, but still call Mozambique home. Henriquetta is in charge of keeping the communication open between the Project Coordinator in Mozambique and the board members in the USA.  Her perfect English and Portuguese as well as her deep understanding of the Mozambician culture are a huge asset to Acenda.  Henriquetta will return home to Mozambique and do wonderufl things.  She is expecting their third child this spring.

Iris and Manuel Domingos, Iris has been the official Project Coordinator for Acenda for over 4 years now.  She is the eyes and ears (and feet and arms...) of Acenda.  She, along with her husband Manuel, work tirelessly for the orphans in their country.  As the only employed  member of Acenda,  she is responsible for checking up on all of the foster families and children monthly, providing training and mediation, and distributing the financial support to the families.  She is also a foster mother for Acenda and has added 10 year old Zecca to her house with open arms.  Manuel and Iris are model parents to the foster families of how to parent your children with love and patience.  We love them and appreciate their amazing work they are doing.
